First Game

Elliott had his first baseball game on Saturday, May 11.  Our 9-10 year old youth baseball had 36 boys signup so they split them up into three teams.  Elliott is on the S-VE Minor Black team.  His team played the S-VE Minor Red team. 

The Black team was on the field and guess who was on the pitchers' mound?  Our little man!  He did excellent.  The youth league has set a maximum number of pitches that a boy can throw for each game. That number would be 77.  Elliott pitched 56 times and struck 5 boys out. Impressive for his first game!  He sets the bar, bat, high!

His first time up to bat, first swing, he hit a fly ball.  It was caught but he sure had everyone's attention.  Second time to bat, again, another great hit, dropped in right field, he made it to second and batted two runners in.  I think I am going to like this game.
