They comfort you when you are hurt or frightened.
They fix almost anything with a hug, kiss and a band-aid.
They love you when you are bad and say mean things to them in anger.
They are patient and let you make mistakes so you learn the hard way.
They aren't one to say "I told you so."
They are just a phone call away when you have a question about a recipe, what to do with the baby, or any of the other million questions you ask them during your life time.
Mom...thanks for giving me a great childhood full of wonderful memories. Thanks for letting us have all those precious, special animals. For letting me have my pony. For letting us play in the woods and creek and not complain about how dirty and wet we were when we came home. For letting me take flute lessons. For EVERYTHING, even Marie (ha - love ya sister)!
